Who is Liz Weaver?


Liz Weaver is passionate about harnessing the power of communities to inspire change. She brings years of experience working with organizations to increase effective communication between leaders in private and public spheres. Weaver’s passion for community collaboration shines throughout her career. Currently, she is the Vice President and Director of Operations at Tamarack, a Canadian nonprofit organization that focuses on community engagement to reduce poverty. In her previous role, she led the Vibrant Communities Canada team to strengthen collaborations and helped multiple teams develop frameworks of change. In 2002, Weaver completed a Masters of Management for National Voluntary Sector Leaders through McGill University and was awarded a Queen’s Jubilee Medal for her leadership in the voluntary sector.

Experienced in leading teams, developing curriculum, and delivering educational workshops, Weaver is bringing her expertise to Waukesha to turn theory into impact through this three part program.
